Cardio for the day is done! :) I went a little earlier in the day and felt A LOT better. Runs in 100 degrees are not fun! It was probably in the 80’s when I ran :)
Anyways just over 3 miles for today! I’ve got to build back up slow so that I don’t get injured or burn out! As much as I want to push my mileage and the pace, I need to be smart about my training so that I’ll be healthy for XC in the fall.
Came back from my run and immediately jumped in the pool and did like 5 minutes of aqua jogging and a couple laps to cool down my legs a bit. Now I’m just sitting in my lazy boy chair and enjoying my backyard :)

So I was planning on running for 45 minutes but 15 minutes into my run I got a call from my dentist asking if I was on my way (oops!) so I literally sprinted home, jumped in the pool, threw on some clothes and drove down there. I didn’t want to finish my run in the 100 degree heat, so I did a little over 20 minutes of aqua jogging to fill up the rest of my time for the day :) aqua jogging is a great alternative to running and doesn’t put stress on your legs, I would recommend it to anyone who can’t fit in a run because of the heat and still wants to get an equally challenging workout! :) Also going to do toneitup’s sunkissed abs video later as part of my bikini series challenge ^_^ 6 weeks left in the challenge!

My 5 week challenge to get ready for events going on in June! 5 weeks, 5 guidelines. These are the main things I’m going to focus on, along with a clean diet! I can do it and so can you :) starts tomorrow and goes till June 15th where phases 2 of my summer plan will start. More updates on workouts and vegan eats I’ll be enjoying the next 5 weeks! Also will upload progress pictures during my journey ^_^ can’t wait to see some major changes!

Good morning abs ^_^ and this is after my 40 oz breakfast smoothie
Just letting you know I support you and all that you are. I want everyone to be happy :) If you are an omnivore, that’s great. A vegetarian, also great. A vegan? You guessed it, that’s great!
Same goes for working out. Whether you like lifting, running, yoga, swimming, cycling, WHATEVER. I support that.
I think anyone that is making an attempt towards living a healthier lifestyle is amazing and should feel accepted for the route that they’re taking. If you’re doing it in a positive and healthy way, then I fully support you.
While I am personally a vegan and a runner, of course I’m going to talk about those things and tell people my experience with them and how they’ve helped me. But I would never say that someone is “doing it wrong” because they don’t live the way I do. My purpose isn’t to make people feel bad, it’s just to share with them how I live and have found peace with myself ^_^
Now go rock your day! <3
The girl I’m friends with in a class was scrolling through the health and fitness section on Pinterest, and she was like “look at this picture” and it was of a woman who was pretty muscular (think figure competitor) and she was like “ugh isn’t it gross?”
It took everything in me to hold my tongue. NO IT’S NOT GROSS, YOU KNOW HOW MUCH WORK AND DEDICATION SHE PUTS INTO HER PHYSIQUE?!
Even though I don’t generally lift weights, I can still appreciate that some women want to look like that and I admire them. I wish other girls (and guys) felt this way too.
